« Day 9 recap - Les Blaaahhhss | Main | Day 10 - Ukraine train »

As a fashionista myself, I really like the Ivory Coast uniforms. Orange has been hot, hot, hot for the last couple of summers and I give kudos to any team that is reflective of that. I also think it's refreshing to see a color that is not a primary color on the field.

That being said, I'm seeing quite the sort of 1970's influence (see, for example, Spanish uniform with their totally seventies numbers. like they should be in raised puffy letters or something). I mentally associate soccer with the 70's (I have no idea why) so I like this.

That being said - don't the Italians get hot in the long sleeves? Are they playing soccer or going to tea?

That is TOTALLY what I see in my head when I think of soccer. Except with shorter shorts, a la track star Steve Prefontaine. All the better to see their cute little soccer butts with. Although it's probably blasphemous for me to talk about soccer butts on such a serious, technical website. But c'mon, we've got to be honest. Soccer players have great butts. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.
